Audrey Hepburn’s Granddaughter Hits the Fashion World
Apparently, style runs in the Hepburn family - case in point, Emma Kathleen Hepburn Ferrer, the 23-year-old granddaughter of Audrey Hepburn.
Emma, who first got her start in modeling in 2014, made waves in social media in early 2017 after joining Instagram where she shares snaps of her modelling shoots as well as that of her art work. It's with the latter that Emma seems intent on making her mark with.
Emma recently had her debut fashion exhibition called "Ideas Get Dressed" at the SAPAR Contemporary in New York City. Running through April 26, her first-ever fashion exhibit features sketches from known designers, such as Zac Posen and Geova Rodrigues, among others.
The main gist of the show is to let designers show audiences how they transform their ideas and sketches into the actual garments. Inside, visitors can walk through the different steps that go into the creation of the garments.
Even though Emma's first foray as a curator of her own official exhibit is not over just yet, she has already planned ahead. She's not just all about making her mark in the fashion world. Just like her late grandmother, who was one of the first celebrity ambassadors for UNICEF, Emma is a philanthropist herself. In fact, she is an ambassador for the United Nations high commissioner for Refugees and recently paid a visit to the refugees who are currently taking shelter in Greece. Part of the proceeds of "Ideas Get Dressed" will go towards the program, which is dedicated to the protection and assistance of refugees.
Apparently, Hepburn passed on more than just her good looks to her granddaughter. Emma also inherited her grandmother's good heart.
